CDC Guidance

For the health and safety of all in attendance at the Gerontological Society of America (GSA) 2026 Annual Scientific Meeting, GSA recommends that individuals take responsibility for protecting themselves and other participants by following guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) on measures to reduce infection from COVID-19 and to protect against severe complications. GSA recommends and urges all attendees to follow the CDC’s recommendation for updated vaccines as soon as they are eligible to do so.

GSA Protocol

For the health and safety of GSA 2026 attendees, GSA’s COVID-19 safety recommendation or established protocol is subject to change based on COVID-19 community infection levels and any updated guidance from CDC and/or federal or state officials in localities hosting the GSA in-person meeting.

If you begin to experience symptoms associated with COVID-19, we encourage you to follow current CDC guidance and consider testing. The nearest walk-in testing option is Patriot Urgent Care – Fort Washington, located at 9550 Livingston Road, Suite 102, Fort Washington, MD 20744. The clinic is open daily from 8:00 AM–8:00 PM and offers COVID-19 rapid antigen and PCR testing. Walk-ins are welcome.
